Chocolada’s roots are embedded in a collection of traditional and cherished Eastern European recipes. These family heirlooms have been passed down throughout generations, landing in Toronto, Canada in the early 1980’s.
In 1988, Chocolada began selling three types of pastries to local European delis. Within its first year of business, Chocolada upgraded from a home-kitchen to a booming professional bakery and retail enterprise.
The bakery expanded its repertoire and currently includes over sixty different cakes, pastries and savoury baked items. Chocolada’s products range from simple, home-style baked goods to intricately designed and decorated cakes that can be tailored for any special occasion.

Our legendary traditional Eastern European recipe. Thin, crisp layers of puff pastry generously filled with rich vanilla custard. Custard-soaked to achieve the perfect delicate density.
Delicate hazelnut meringue layers accented with fresh seasonal berries and a silky cream filling. Bold, nutty texture meeting bright fruit notes.
A striking, deep chocolate profile designed for purists. Layers of dark chocolate sponge enveloped in luxurious mousse and finished with artisanal cocoa glaze.
A cherished Eastern European classic honey cake. Delicate layers of slow-baked, caramelized honey dough balanced by a lightly tangy sour cream frosting.

Besides taking our delicious desserts home to enjoy, our cozy sit-down café is open daily for a fresh espresso and pastry on the spot. In the warmer months, we feature seasonal treats like authentic gelato and milkshakes.
Yes, we are open every day except January 1st. On holidays, our operational hours are 10:00am until 6:00pm.
We keep a full display available in the store daily. You are welcome to visit Chocolada at any time and buy a cake directly from our display counter.
The only cake we cut and slice is our signature Napoleon. Please make sure to request and order this in advance.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Debit, and Cash. Please note that we do not accept AMEX or personal cheques.
No, we do not use animal products. The gelatin used in our mousse cakes is certified HALAL.
Yes, we design and bake bespoke custom cakes for any special family celebration, wedding, or event.
